On August 5, at the “Biedrība” club, there will be the rare opportunity to hear the duo project of New York-based singer Artas Jēkabsones, winner of the Great Music Award, and Latvian composer and pianist Krists Saržants, in which compositions close to both musicians are selected from the repertoire of well-known contemporary jazz composers and performers, as well as compositions from the world of pop music.

Biography:
New York-based Latvian jazz artist Arta has thrilled listeners all over the world, won the Montreux Chure vocalist competition and recorded the well-received album “Light” and at the beginning of 2023, Arta won the Grand Music Award in the category “Young Artist of the Year”.
Krists Saržants, a many-sided composer and pianist. He has collaborated with international talents. Krista’s debut album “Then and Now” was nominated for the 2021 Latvian Music Recording Year Award “Zelta Mikrofons” in the “Jazz or Funk Music Album” category.
