Sunday, June 4th, @ Klubs Biedrība, Modal Jazz Ensemble will be hosting International Jam Session as a tribute to one of the greatest American jazz saxophonist and composer, Mr. Wayne Shorter, who just passed away beginning of March of this year.
The first part of this event Modal Jazz Ensemble will start the standard concert program. After that we’d perform several very well known Wane Shorter tunes and couple of pieces just created for this performance by former Latvian and now German extremely talented musician and composer Jury Smirnovs, who came to join Modal Jazz Ensemble for this special event.
For this session we’ve invited quite a few great Latvian musicians and singers, so all of us including the guests, looking forward to this!
