A concert in which Latvian music will meet with slight accents of French and Portuguese in the interpretations of Madara and Miķeļis cover versions. Joined in a duet to experience emotions and feelings together – joy, peace and freedom, which comes from being together in music. Well-known Latvian music and several jazz pieces will be played.
Miķelis Vanags is a singer, guitarist, composer and performer. Mainly inspired by Blues, Funk and RnB music (Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Prince). Together with Imanta Daksi, he produces electronic music in the group The Bubble Gum expLotion, plays guitar, keys and composes music in the Inese Bērzina Quartet and keys, saxophone in the group Viral Mind.
Madara Miesniece is a singer who used to play music in Malta, but now she is also active in Latvia. Inspired by Norah Jones, Melody Gardot, Diana Krall, Julie London. The music of Latvian composers that will be played during the concert is especially close.
After the concert, there will be a Open Stage evening until the cultural place closes.
