On Saturday, April 8th, in the club Biedrība stage concert “Līvi 50 beginning”! We continue the presentation concerts of the book and the large vinyl record “LĪVI-BEGGINING” published for the 50th anniversary of the LĪVI band under the common name “LIECINIEKA SPOGUĻPORTRETS”. The group’s first performance took place in Liepāja in year 1972 in the city show (won 1st place). Year 1980 the group became the best in Latvia, but was banned a year later.
At the presentation concerts, the songs “Vairogi”, “Ar priekšgalu pret straumi”, “Kā caur tuksnesi”, “Zemgaļu kara dziesma”, etc., which were banned at the beginning of Līvi and are not recommended to be played on radio/TV, etc., are performed by Juris Pavītols, Tālis Marhilēvičs, the initial members of the Līvi band, Aivars Hermanis, Valdis Skujiņš, Ritvars Knesis, Raimonds Gabaliņš, as well as Matīss Pavītols.
